Day Three: Sometimes it's hard to stay Indoors

Day Three: Sometimes it's hard to stay Indoors

Good morning Challengers. Did you get outdoors yesterday? Here in the centre of the universe (Toronto), we had the most perfectest, beautifulest day. Big fat fluffy snowflakes, warm temperatures-it must have been just at freezing because the snow lasted for most of the day.

I went for a nice long walk along the lake with Cathy and got some nice pictures including this one of Toronto's bridge over the Humber. A cute thing about this bridge is you can find Love Locks on it. Love Locks are locks that lovers put onto a bridge, sometimes carved with their initials or a special date. Then the key is thrown into the river. I think it's cute.

When I got home from walking with Cathy, I shovelled the walk, did some errands with Rob, came home and shovelled again, and then Robyn asked me to take her somewhere, and I thought to myself, "Outdoors everyday? I can't even get indoors!"
I did make it indoors eventually, and snuck in a couple chapters of a book, had supper and back outdoors for shinny at High Park.
I'm wondering if it works to be outdoors alot one day, and not so much another day, but then reminded myself of my February mantra: If you go outdoors, for at least half an hour, everyday...your life will be better. Just better.

Today's photo prompt, hopefully not too challenging: take a picture of a landmark.

 Until tomorrow-have an outdoorsy day.

Anna

Then, they opened the rink, so after a non-outdoorsy day Saturday, I had triple outdoor time Sunday-balancing it all out in the end.

Day 22: Guest post by Robyn!
Day 22: Guest post by Robyn!

Yesterday reminded me that I don't ALWAYS have to be plugged in, and if I'm listening carefully, there's lots of things to hear. Still not sure if I prefer the sounds of birds and a creek to Bon Jovi, but it's OK to take a little break.
And while I would have loved the company of one of my brothers, or my boyfriend, sometimes doing things by yourself is very nice and relaxing.

Day 21: Old friends
Day 21: Old friends

Every year during the challenge I have a picture of a tree, often I have a picture of this tree. It's so big, I'm not sure the picture does it justice. It's like an old friend. You can see how the lowest branches are perfect for climbing. I'm sure my siblings and I all climbed it in our childhoods playing here in this park.
