Repost from 2020 I think...Day 9: Now I'm really tired.

I played this tournament again last weekend and it was again very fun, and very cold. But the team I played on won the whole tournament, finishing up with a nail biter down to the last second win by one goal.

Good morning Challengers. You may remember that I played in an outdoor hockey tournament this weekend at Dufferin Grove. There was a game Friday night and two games on Saturday. The really fun part was that I woke up with a cold on Saturday morning, and wasn't feeling much like playing hockey. Actually I felt like hiding under my duvet on the couch and watching Netflix.
But then I remembered a little figure skater that Thom took skating lessons with last year telling the kids, "If you don't train when you don't feel well, how will you learn to compete when you don't feel well.?!"
Taking that to heart, a had a couple of Advils, dressed extra warm, and laced up.
And I'm glad I did, because it was a really fun day, and I'm looking forward to spending most of tomorrow in my pajamas.
Until tomorrow
Have an outdoorsy day.
Anna

Day 27: outdoors as a sensory experience.

I am aware of what my body needs - active, upright, arms swinging motion. I notice there is a tone to my walk - purposeful, present, confident.  I notice the openness around me, the cleared sidewalks and roads, the clouds are softening, lightening up, revealing a soft blue sky.
