Day 21: We are almost through February

Day 21: We are almost through February

Good morning Challengers. Did anyone have any luck taking a picture of a bird? That was yesterday's photo challenge, and with today's rain, I didn't see any birds, sorry for that.

A couple cool things did happen yesterday though. I had two people share with me things about the Challenge. One woman shared that her and her kids are really enjoying the challenge, and even if they don't do it everyday, she told me she was finding it very inspiring (my favourite word). She said her kids have bookmarked the challenges they still want to do. That was music to my ears.

Later in the day, when I got home from co op, I received this email from Challenger Jenny:

Hey Anna,
I went walking along the lake today as always and the warm air coming across the lake was magical!! I swear it was coming right from Florida!! If it’s still nice out tomorrow I strongly suggest it but wear your snow grabbers cause it’s still icy.

It was so nice to hear from people, because I'm never sure if I'm not just talking to Super Friend Cathy, and my always organized sister...

Finding out that there are people who are eager to read the daily emails, and find it inspiring, inspires me. So for our last 9 days...here we go.

My friend told me one of the pictures her kids were eager to take was a sky pic. So here's another sky picture for them.

Today's photo challenge is take a picture your street sign.

Until tomorrow

Have an outdoorsy dayLook up sky pic

I would like to talk about something I witnessed in town over the last several weeks. As I mentioned previously, we had a Polar Vortex. It was too cold to walk to the grocery store, let alone just sit outside all day. Which is what a member of this town had been doing for months.

My Winter Walks
My Winter Walks

I am just back from a walk along the country road where I live, a road bordered by fields and stands of trees. My intention was to get some exercise, which meant covering some distance at a reasonable pace. My intention is important, as it affects many other choices: type of shoes, clothing, walking poles, water, binoculars, camera etc.

Good For You Momma
Good For You Momma

After stopping for the dogs to poop and stopping to change Jett’s diaper (twice) we were off!! We walked through a sunny meadow, climbed up the frozen cascades and returned via a side trail that skirted the riverbank. Bliss.
