Day 1: These Shoes Were Meant For Walkin'

Day 1: These Shoes Were Meant For Walkin'

Welcome to day 1 of the Outdoors Everyday Challenge!

Let's start off nice and easy today, and make a plan to get out for a walk. If you have any errands, can you walk to them? Do you take transit to work? Leave 5 minutes early and walk one stop farther, or get off one stop early on the way home. Do you need to stop at the store before picking up the kids at school? Walk to the store, then come home and go get the kids. Find a little way to put some outdoors into your day! It will be worth it.
For today's photo challenge, let's see what's on your feet. It  can tell us a lot about the weather when we look back. If it was rainy, there will be pictures of puddle boots; If it was snowing, there will be boots; If it was sunny, there will be running shoes. As for me- I'm almost always in my Blundstones. MY challenge is finding my pair amongst the pairs that belong to the rest of the family.

Until tomorrow...
Have an outdoorsy day.

My intention was to get some exercise, which meant covering some distance at a reasonable pace. My intention is important, as it affects many other choices: type of shoes, clothing, walking poles, water, binoculars, camera etc.

Good For You Momma

After stopping for the dogs to poop and stopping to change Jett’s diaper (twice) we were off!! We walked through a sunny meadow, climbed up the frozen cascades and returned via a side trail that skirted the riverbank. Bliss.
