Jett's first Halloween

Jett's first Halloween

Baby Jett is getting ready for his first Halloween, and his Grandma was ready! Read on to find out how Kayleigh, Jett and the family are doing Halloween

Halloween in Alberta

The forecast for 6pm in Calgary on Halloween is 1 degree Celsius - brr! Maybe your child doesn’t actually want to be Moana in her strapless top, but instead they can be Olaf in many, many layers of white puff. Finding a costume that fits over a snowsuit is the real challenge of Halloween in most of Canada.

Jett, (10m) doesn’t even understand what Halloween is, so the costume choice debate hasn’t come up, yet! Jett’s dad, Josh, was a pumpkin his first Halloween and his mother (Jett’s grandmother) saved the costume and has fixed it up for Jett to wear! Score! The best part of the costume that it’s mostly just more layers and stuffing to add to the warmth equation.

Baby's first halloween

We live in a great family neighbourhood and are expecting approximately 50 kids to come through. One challenge we face at Halloween is one of our dogs struggles with lots of people knocking on the door.and a night of constant knocking has this poor pup stressed!

We have a solution we are going to try this year! The plan is set up camp on the front lawn, bring the dogs, the baby and the candy all out front. We are going to have a little campfire and camping chairs. The dogs love people so hopefully this solves the knocking problem.

An additional hope that we will be able to connect with more families and parents by being out front

Remember Halloween is suppose to be fun! Enjoy it! Get some glow sticks, get super visible, eat some candy and have a great night!

Enjoy
