Recently the family next door went to Mexico for a holiday and took one of our swimsuits for their Little one. I asked them how the suit worked out and my neighbour had some insights I hadn't thought of before.
"Our daughter is at the stage where she wants to do everything herself, including applying the sunscreen...unevenly. We had one less thing to argue about in the mornings, the spotty application didn't matter, since our swimsuit provided full body UV protection."
It seems our swimsuits help bring the best of both worlds, toddlers can put on their own sunscreen, keeping them happy, and parents don't have to worry about it, which makes them happy.
My neighbour also mentioned the quality of the fabric, "softer and more breathable than what you would normally expect in a [full body] swimsuit and it dried quickly. It kept her cool on the shore and warm in the water."
The part that made me feel good though was at the end of her email when she said this: "I'm normally an anxious parent on the beach, forever worrying about the sunburn. It was nice watching my kid play in the sand and knowing that she was fully protected."
Holidays are supposed to be fun and relaxing and if we can help that happen for parents, that's a win for us.
This morning I received an email from a mom needing more information about our Smittens. I thought I would share the answers here in case other people wanted to know too.
