Day 17: Well today was much better
this is me sitting at work eating a slice of pizza, reading a book off the shelf that John recommended while I wait for the phone to ring. That's what I mean about something good, or something lucky or something great, or all three. I'm lucky to have such a great job, here is my photo evidence.
Day 16: Yesterday was my least favourite kind of weather
Have you ever met people who aren't from Southern Ontario, and you say, 'oh it's so cold where you come from.' and they say 'it's a dry cold.' or something equally weird like that.
Day 15: Half way through
And what a month it has been. Three major storms with a thaw thrown in the middle of it! I think that may be a record. Certainly a record since I started doing this challenge.
Day 14: Happy Valentine's Day
Yesterday was my dream weather day. Not too cold, tons of snow, didn't have to drive anywhere further than Bloor and Brock. And lastly several times I look out my front window to near blizzard conditions.
Day 12: Looks like we are in for more snow
this is Canada, and if you live here you are going to be living part of (and sometimes much of) your life in a cold snowy climate. Then I thought how outdoor sports during the winter are a sort of social currency. And how skating even if you don't play hockey is a way for kids (and grown ups) to be together doing something.
Day 13: Why I love snowdays
Lastly, another great thing about snow day is hockey is cancelled, and people get sent home from work early, so the whole family is home for a rare and fun evening.
